Grant Administration: |

ECICOG is a valuable asset to assist with the preparation of grant-funded projects and administer successful grant awards. Administration activities often include: development of administrative plans for projects; resolutions and publications; progress monitoring and reporting; and compliance with pertinent rules and regulations (such as may be required for environmental review, labor regulations, etc.). |

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Assistance: The CDBG competitive program provides funding assistance for public water and sewer projects and community facilities and services (such as a health clinic, child care, etc.). Both types of projects must be qualified by providing a majority of benefit to low and moderate income households (according to guidelines of HUD). Water and sewer applications are due to the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) by November 14, 2008 and the due date for community facilities and services is December 12, 2008. Maximum grant awards vary by population. |

Economic Development Set Aside (ESDA) and Public Facilities Set Aside (PFSA): ESDA funding provides direct loans of forgivable loans to private businesses for the creation of new jobs or the retention of existing jobs that would otherwise be lost. PFSA funding provides grant assistance for infrastructure projects that directly support economic development activities that create or retain jobs (such as service extensions to new industry). |
