DMA 2000 Compliant Hazard Mitigation Plans

DMA multi-hazard mitigation plans allow governmental entities to apply for mitigation funding available under the Stafford Act. Grant programs include the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, the Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program, and the Severe Repetitive Loss Program.

The following plans are currently in progress or have been approved by FEMA:

Linn County:

Washington County:

Washington County is currently working on a multi-jurisdictional plan. Participating communities include: Ainsworth, Brighton, Crawfordsville, Kalona, West Chester, Unincorporated Washington County. Staff contact: Mary Beth Stevenson

Wellman Hazard Mitigation Plan, plan complete. Staff contact: Hilary Copeland

Jones County:

Jones County is currently completing a multi-jurisdictional plan for Anamosa, Martelle, Monticello, Olin, Oxford Junction, Wyoming and the unincorporated areas. A draft is now available: Staff contact: Hilary Copeland

Johnson County:

An application for a multi-jurisdictional planning grant in Johnson County is in progress.
