Hometown Pride Program to Provide Community Coaching

In August, ECICOG officially formed a partnership with Keep Iowa Beautiful’s Hometown Pride program. Through this program, ECICOG will provide community coaching services to the cities of Hills, Springville, Walker, Center Point and Shellsburg.

The Hometown Pride program was developed in 2012 as an effort to assist and improve communities through a five-year coaching commitment. Communities start the program by forming a steering committee and developing an action plan with the goal of creating a more vibrant, stable future. After the action plan is developed, the community coach helps residents to execute the plan and grow their skills by providing technical assistance and support.
