In 2015 the city of Lisbon was awarded a total of $224,574, and this past year ECICOG has been administering the program. The Lisbon CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Program has completed construction at two homes with a total of $61,234 in repairs, and will assist an additional four homes.
The Lisbon CDBG program has been a unique challenge, as every property we have assisted meets eligibility requirements for the National Register of Historic Places, which is based on the amount of original building materials still intact and with little to no alterations or modifications to the property. Because of this we have had to conform our scope of work with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, to address the work that needs to be completed with repairs and not replacement.
