Public Meetings to Address Statewide Drought Plan

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced that it will cohost a series of public stakeholder meetings in July and a virtual meeting in August to gather ideas and input for a statewide drought plan.


Several state agencies will participate in developing such a plan for Iowa, including the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.


Interested stakeholders in our region may attend an in-person meeting or the statewide virtual meeting:

  • Cedar Rapids: July 21, 9 a.m., Kirkwood Community College
