EAST CENTRAL IOWA HOUSING TRUST FUND
The East Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund (ECIHTF) is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of life within Benton, Iowa, Jones, and Washington Counties. As the only certified housing trust fund for the four counties, ECIHTF offers innovative and flexible funding to expand affordable housing opportunities. Only households below 80% AMI are eligible and priority may be given to projects that benefit households with income at or below 30% AMI.

Applications
The ECIHTF is accepting applications from qualified housing providers needing financial assistance to implement affordable housing projects that will address the mission of ECIHTF. Nonprofit, for-profit, and governmental entities are eligible to apply for funding assistance from the fund of the ECIHTF for affordable housing projects located within the counties of Benton, Iowa, Jones, and Washington. Individual citizens are not eligible to apply for assistance from this fund.
History
The East Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund (ECIHTF) was established as a 501(c)(3) and certified as an Iowa Housing Trust Fund in 2010 . Since 2011, ECIHTF has been granted over $3.6 million from the Iowa Finance Authority and has made awards of nearly $3.5 million to nearly 20 different entities to benefit nearly 500 households. ECIHTF has also been the recipient of Federal Home Loan Bank Affordable Housing Program grants and also receives ongoing annual financial support from each of its participating counties.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of ECIHTF is comprised of eight members. Each county served by the ECIHTF is represented by two seats on the Board.
