Dear Friends and Partners,

I am honored to step into the role of Executive Director at ECICOG. While I bring 35 years of local government experience to this position, my connection to this organization actually began as a planning intern while I was a senior in college. Returning now to lead such a vital and talented team truly feels like coming home.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving our local communities through roles with the City of Coralville, Linn County, and Kirkwood Community College. In each of those experiences, I have seen firsthand that our region is strongest when we work together. Whether through grant acquisition and administration, community development and planning, or guiding long-term land-use and master planning efforts, the goal has always been the same: building resilient, thriving communities.
As I look toward ECICOG’s future, I am energized by the opportunities ahead and committed to being a transparent, data-informed, and inclusive leader for our member communities. I look forward to working alongside all of you as we shape the next chapter of growth and collaboration across East Central Iowa. Feel free to contact me via email or at (319) 289-0093.
All the best, Ellen.
