ECICOG is offering a second Strategic Doing Training opportunity September 9-10 at the Kirkwood Continuing Education Training Center. This opportunity will be available to economic developers and community members who want to learn a new tool for collaboration to advance the regional vision. These could be Economic Development team members, board members, or other community champions who want to support community projects. The overarching goal is to create a shared problem-solving framework throughout the region and to advance the work of the Envision East Central Iowa action teams by assisting with team development, meeting facilitation and/or accountability structures.

The workshop will be facilitated by Kate Moreland of Kate Moreland Coaching and Consulting and Jennifer Horn-Frasier of Bluebird Sky Solutions. Participants will learn new skills and start to plan how they might use Strategic Doing on actual projects in their communities. The instructors will also provide follow-up support for projects in the months following the in-person training.
