ECICOG recently learned that all three 2024 Federal Home Loan Bank Affordable Housing Program applications were awarded, totaling over $650,000 to assist 44 homeowners throughout our six counties. ECICOG submitted the grants on behalf of the three Housing Trust Funds in the ECICOG region. The East Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund was awarded $178,080, the Housing Fund for Linn County $248,800 and the Housing Trust Fund of Johnson County $231,200. Each program currently has a waiting list due to high demand however, if you know of lower-income homeowners in need of home rehabilitation assistance contact Housing Recovery Coordinator Nicole Beuc.
The Iowa Finance Authority also announced its annual Local Housing Trust Fund program awards. ECICOG submitted applications on behalf of the East Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund, which was awarded $435,896, and the Housing Fund for Linn County, which was awarded $645,598.
