If you have been driving around Linn County lately, you may have noticed a series of new

signs that have popped up identifying the Indian Creek and Cedar River watersheds. Watershed signage plays a critical role in connecting us with our water resources.

ECICOG collaborated with the Indian Creek Watershed Management Authority (WMA) to apply for a creek signage grant through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. These signs were paid for in part by IDNR, and installed by members of the Indian Creek WMA, including Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, Linn County, and Robins. Other partners in the watershed that installed signage include Alburnett and Linn County Conservation.

Contact ECICOG Environmental Director Alicia Presto for additional information.
