University Heights ARPA Business Assistance Program Application Period Open Through September 30


The City of University Heights is launching a business assistance program to support the recovery of businesses negatively impacted by decreased foot traffic due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding comes from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The City has allocated and intends to award $80,000 in the form of four $20,000 grants to businesses located in the corporate limits of University Heights. As part of the application, all the businesses have to declare adverse effects from the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible businesses must be located in the corporate limits of University Heights and have a physical store-front presence. Home businesses are not eligible. The East Central Iowa Council of Governments has been contracted to administer the program. The program application and detailed information can be viewed in the attachments below.
